Terms of Service

Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the FeTAS platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. These terms govern your participation in our marketplace, traceability systems, and financial tools.

1. User Roles & Integrity

Each user must select a primary role. You agree that:

  • Farmers/Breeders: All livestock data entered must be truthful and verifiable.
  • Veterinarians: You must maintain active KVB licensing to provide services via the platform.
  • Transporters: You must comply with cold-chain and animal welfare transport standards.

Falsification of traceability records results in immediate permanent ban and coin forfeiture.

2. Smart Escrow & Payments

FeTAS acts as a neutral third-party for marketplace transactions:

  • Funds are held in escrow upon order placement.
  • Release occurs automatically when Step 8 (Physical Handover via QR) is verified.
  • FeTAS charges a standard 1.5% escrow fee to maintain the secure ledger.

3. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a discrepancy (weight, health, or quality), FeTAS provides an Arbitration Service. Rulings made by FeTAS Transaction Arbiters are final and binding within the platform's financial system.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya and relevant East African Community agricultural protocols.
